Oral Explosion

You guys may have heard some preliminary reports on the new food court called Oral Explosion opening up soon in San Marco from MetroJacksonville. We had Robin pop by the site a few days ago to check things out and they are coming along quite swimmingly. Slated to open later this year, the venue is host to 5 different eateries; JP Lee's Chinese, Ray's Pizza, Flavors Essence of India, Deli Deli Gourmet Sandwiches, and Coffee Roasters. The building is also the leader contender for our "Best Food Court Name" award. Take a look.

Could Ray's Pizza's logo look any more like Al's? What a bunch of weird, generic looking eateries. Deli Deli ... come on.

Totally

Then Rays should be Ray Rays pizza.

Isn't one of these places with the Orsay/Chew family?

Is it me or has anyone else noticed something disturbing or kinky about the name of this place? Sounds more like a porno movie! Any yes , Ray's should sue for infringement on their logo.

Rays should sue? I think Als has been around longer.

Sorry, got it backwards, Al's should sue!

Does this mean it explodes in your mouth?

I haven't seen the interior designs or anything but I'm wondering if these places are going be run by the same person/company as some kind of goofy omni-eatery? I know Flavors is from Baymeadows but I'm wondering if once you get in there, all the stuff comes from the same kitchen or something skeezy like that?

Walked in there on wednesday...just curious. Dang, i wish i would had tought of this. Five completely different resturants under one roof. All individually staffed and sharing a common area. Pretty cool and 4 hospitals within walking distance. Who cares about the name? But, its making people like us talk about...for free. Guy in there said it will be open in 2 weeks. I work at JOI and cant wait. Tired of the coffee shop here and bring my lunch. AIX is too expensive and European street too far to walk.

I just spoke to some of the people near the building and the pricing will be real affordable. Under $7 for a complete meal is what the guy said. I can't wait. I work at a nearby restaurant which has crappy food that too expensive, even with an employee discount.

A name like Oral Explosion would never fly on the other side of the river - where First Baptist dominates!
